The ‘Meet the Farmer Project’ is an opportunity to link the public directly to the farm they are visiting, you may be visiting the farm in a professional capacity or you may be on lovely walk. This project intends to give you information answer questions you may have ….
Our aim is to introduce you to the farmer of the land you may be visiting. Our intention is to help you understand what the farm is about and what they are trying to achieve.

If you do a lot of walking, you may find that a vast majority of footpaths criss-cross land that is privately owned. The farmer would be the best person to answer any questions you had.
You can use the contact section of this website to ask a general question to the Farmers Group, or you can navigate to the inidividual farms and ask a question directly to the farm you a re interested in.
UK farms receive funding through various schemes, including the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI), the Farming Investment Fund (FIF), and grants for environmental projects, with the government reinvesting the full £2.4 billion in EU farming subsidies annually.
Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI):
This scheme pays farmers and land managers to adopt or maintain sustainable farming and land management practices.
Farmers can receive up to £1,000 as an ‘SFI Management Payment’ of £20 per hectare, up to 50 hectares of land entered into the scheme.
